easy last minute treat recipes to try this christmas!

HELLO! Happy (less than) one week to Christmas!!! I am sooo excited but this is kind of the time where I start to almost start feeling a little bit sad that Christmas will soon be over. I know, I know it’s silly but I can’t help it! I am looking forward to staying cozy these next few days and spend time with the fam, wrapping presy’s, drinking festive beverages, watching Christmas movies & baking all of the goodies!

I don’t know about you, but I find that every year Christmas sneaks up on me and before I know it it’s here! Maybe you wanted to bake some yummy treats to bring to friends & family but thought that just won’t happen in time! Well, good news! I’ve got three easy-as-can-be recipes for your to make before Christmas that will make you look like a Christmas goodie pro!

HERE ARE THREE EASY PEASY + VERY DELICIOUS GOODIES TO BAKE BEFORE CHRISTMAS!:

peanut butter balls

what you’ll need:
1 cup rice krispies
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup coconut
1 tbsp butter
1 cup icing sugar

how to make them:
mix peanut butter, icing sugar, and butter together. once the mixture is smooth, add rice krispies. roll into small balls. mix a thin icing using icing sugar and water. put coconut in flat bowl or dish, roll balls in the icing, and then roll in coconut. put them in a cute tin, make people feel very merry

homemade turtles

what you’ll need:
pretzels (twists, small ones)
rolos
pecans

how to make them:
put parchment paper on a cookie sheet, and lay pretzels flat down on the sheet. place a rolo in the middle of each pretzel and put in the oven at 325 for 4-76mins! check often to see if rolos are melting, once they are warm but not melted, take them out of the oven! the finishing touch is pressing a pecan on top of the rolo! these are so yummy, only 3 ingredients, and look really cute wrapped up in treat bags or in tins!

potato chip squares

what you’ll need:
6 cups of plain ruffles chips (party-sized or 2 bags!)
4 & a half cups of mini marshmallows
3 tbsp of butter
1 tsp of vanilla extract
cute christmas sprinkles

how to make them:
melt butter in a pot, then add marshmallows (or a bowl in the microwave for one minute!) stir in vanilla, and stir the mixture until smooth. add crushed chips and stir until coated and consistent. grease an 8x8 or 9x9 pan, sprinkle with some festive sprinkles, cut into squares, literally fall in love! these are essentially rice krispy squares with potato chips instead of rice krispies!

Hope you try these & enjoy the last few days before Christmasssss! Sending you love
